Zoom audio settings setup

1)  Download zoom.us

2)  If you already have Zoom installed on your computer, confirm you have the most recent version. In Zoom's main menu, choose "Check for Updates.”

3)  After the most recent version is installed, in Zoom's main menu, choose Preferences > Audio.

4)  In the Microphone section, there is a box called "Automatically adjust microphone volume." Uncheck this.

 

5)  In the Music and Professional Audio section, there is a box called "High-fidelity music mode." Check this. Just note that this can increase CPU utilization and consume greater network bandwidth.

 

6)  In the Music and Professional Audio section, there is a box called "Echo cancellation." Uncheck this.

 

7)  In the Music and Professional Audio section, there is a box called "Stereo audio." Check this.

Your Audio settings should look like this:

IMPORTANT: When you start any new Zoom meeting, confirm that your Original Sound: On. This setting is in the upper left corner of your Zoom meeting.

Sharing your Computer Audio with meeting participants

1) Click on the ‘Share Screen’ button in the lower center of the Zoom window.

2)  Click on the Advanced tab. Click on the ‘Computer Audio’ box and within the dropdown, select ‘Stereo (High-fidelity).’ And when you’re read to share, click the blue ‘Share’ button in the lower right corner of the window.

Sharing audio files with meeting participants

1) Click on the ‘Share Screen’ button in the lower center of the Zoom window.

2) Click on the Files tab. Zoom provides several options for easily sharing files with each other, such as Dropbox and Google Drive. When you’re ready to share, click the blue ‘Share’ button in the lower right corner of the window.
